Meet Maria Elena

MariaElena is a Co-Host for Journey Of A Lifetime. She has studied to classical literature in Parma for 5 years at Liceo Classico. Liceo Classico is the study of ancient Italian and Greek history and the artistic life, language, and philosophy that impacts today’s modern Italian culture. By trying to unite past and present world’s, MariaElena focused her studies on communication while at University of Parma. Italian, Latin, Greek literature are studied to see their affects on modern culture and to see how past literature impacts contemporary society. These are some of the unique skills and experience she brings to Journey Of A Lifetime.

MariaElena has completed a cycle of study which has taken three years, attaining her degree in the field of Communication Science. During this time, she has developed a strong desire to travel. This travel desire is for something more than typical travel. She has visited France with a purpose to improve her knowledge of French which she has studied for 5 years. She has traveled to Spain twice, including trips to Barcelona, Formentera and Ibiza to be able to see and touch the artistry of Spain which she learned about at the University. She has traveled to the Maldives Island, and to Egypt three different trips. Twice to the Red Sea, and focused on Egyptian origins and how their traditions, beliefs, gods and culture were structured and organized. She has traveled to Greece three times, spending time in Mikonos, Kos and Athens to study the Greek culture and language. In addition to these trips, she has also traveled to Prague and London.

The international travels in association with her formal studies have also been supplemented by personal travels throughout Italy. It is her desire to experience her own country as a base of knowledge, upon which she can share her country of origin with others around the globe. Her role in Journey Of A Lifetime is to share these unique perspectives with her peer audience.

All of these travels have been oriented towards learning about the cultures and have been coordinated to support her school studies. The breadth and depth of these travels have shaped MariaElena’s perspective. She will be providing insight into those perspectives throughout the Journey Of A Lifetime Episodes.

MariaElena has had several professional work experiences to fill her personal piggy-bank in an effort to fund her continued desire to travel. Her most recent travel has been of the most impact in changing and shaping her life and that has been coming to the United States. She currently resides in San Diego, California and has come to the U.S. to study the language and the culture. Her interest in country of origin (home country) Her appreciation of her country of origin has been enhanced by her travels around the world. This has translated to a passion for travel that will enrich her life and to develop deep and lasting relationships with people to share this passion. The passion for her country, travel and people, communication and sharing makes her extremely fit for this endeavor.

The extraordinary purpose and objective of the Journey Of A Lifetime reality TV Show, combined with her personality of always looking for unique experiences and a quality which characterizes her is her ability see and experience everything with excitement, vitality and youthful surprise all of which are fundamental elements to share her passion to provoke, grow and cultivate a similar passion in others.
